Our general practice is connected to the LSP (National Switchboard).
The LSP enables healthcare providers to exchange health information with each other via a secure internet connection. The goal is to ensure you are as well-informed as possible about your health in relevant situations so that you can receive the most appropriate care possible.
The LSP allows information to be exchanged between your general practitioner, the out-of-hours GP service (HAP), your pharmacy, and your treating medical specialists. This includes some of the data from your GP file and your medication record.
- The out-of-hours GP service (HAP)
If, when the general practice is closed, you go to the out-of-hours GP service for an urgent situation, the HAP has access to some of the data the practice manages.
The HAP, in turn, shares a record of your attendance with the general practice. This way, the general practitioner knows which complaints you had at the HAP and what action was taken as a result.
- Your pharmacy
Your pharmacy has access to your medication records in relevant situations. This includes the medication prescribed by your GP, as well as any intolerances, contraindications, and allergies (ICA data). They can then take this into account when dispensing medication.
- Your treating medical specialists
Your treating medical specialists have access to your medication records in relevant situations. This includes the medication prescribed by your GP, as well as any intolerances, contraindications, and allergies (ICA data). They can then take this into account when prescribing and dispensing medication.
Consent
You must give your consent to exchange your data via the LSP. Our practice uses Mitz for this purpose.
With Mitz, you choose which healthcare providers you authorize to share your medical data. Your other healthcare providers can then request this data if they need it for your treatment.
For more information, see our Mitz page.
